Bijal is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist , working with individuals, couples, and families using various forms of therapeutic modalities. Bijal also leads therapeutic groups as well as workshops for companies seeking to improve relations.

Bijal finds that clients may often seek help for relational issues (marital and family), problems with sex and/or intimacy, problems with communication, trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, various mental and emotional disorders, aging parents, affective disorders, job related stress, social stressors, grief, self-esteem, and other challenges. Her approach is to use empathy, exploration, and empowerment, in order to help clients achieve their goals. Bijal believes that although staying with your emotions can be difficult, it is often the pathway to healing. Things often go unsaid, which can manifest into various effects on the body, such as anxiety. Therapy can be seen as a process of “unpacking”.

Her clinical training with Family Service League allowed Bijal to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of our environment and relationships, as well as the positive shifts that can take place when offered supportive and validating resources. Her work with S.A.V.E. of Essex County has helped her gain experience in working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma victims, and survivors of sexual assault. Bijal has also gained clinical experience at a psychiatric private practice where she helped clients cope with and manage issues affecting their relationships, professional life, and overall personal well-being.
